About Us

DEML was established in 2020 to develop, fund and manage a broad portfolio of energy from waste investments. DEML’s team has been strategically assembled and comprises highly experienced energy from waste specialists with a long and successful track record in the industry. Our team has been involved in the development, construction, funding and operations of a significant number of high profile energy from waste facilities over the past two decades.

Through effective and diligent management in conjunction with our project partners, our team is able to continuously identify and implement both performance enhancing opportunities and risk mitigation measures to optimise the value of our investments.

We are actively seeking to grow the DEML business by developing, constructing and acquiring new projects. Our strategic plan also involves optimising our ESG credentials through the delivery of financially viable, proven schemes such as district heating, whilst investigating opportunities for the implementation of carbon capture utilisation and storage across the portfolio.

On an annual basis our existing portfolio processes 2.0Mt of waste, generates 910GWh of electricity, and provides 390GWh heat/steam to district heating networks.

DEML’s shareholder, iCON Infrastructure, is an award-winning, independent investment firm advising funds with $8 billion of capital. iCON focuses on making long term equity investments in private, mid-market, infrastructure businesses located in Europe and North America. iCON’s affiliated funds have successfully invested in a diversified portfolio of 44 businesses spanning a range of infrastructure sectors including Transport, Utilities, Telecoms, Energy & Environment and Social Infrastructure.
